Peace River Electric Cooperative is looking for students to serve as delegates for the 2026 Youth Tour. Two student representatives will be sponsored to be a delegate and join more than 1,800 young people from across the U.S. to participate in the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour June 15-20 2026. Students tour Washington, D.C., meet legislators on Capitol Hill, learn how our system of government works and discover the importance of electric cooperatives in the local community. Peace River Electric Cooperative sponsors two students for this week-long adventure, all-expenses-paid.

Am I eligible to apply?

You must (1) currently be an 11^th grader

(2) attend an approved high school in PRECO’s service area

How do I Enter?

Submit: Completed application and video submission
Video Submission: 1. Submit a 1.5–3 minute video telling us why you’d be a great Youth Tour representative for Peace River Electric Cooperative. Tell us what excites you about the trip, why civic engagement matters, how you've shown leadership, and why electric cooperatives are important to rural communities. Videos will be judged on message, communication skills, creativity, and professionalism. Let your personality shine—we’re looking for curious leaders ready to make an impact!
Video format: Please upload your video to a sharing site such as YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, etc. and provide the link in the application.
Attach: Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher or counselor
