Heat Plus Rate Application- Optional Rate (Space Heating Only)

This form must be submitted to Linn County REC prior to the Heat Plus Meter being installed and rate assigned. There is no guarantee of the magnitude of the rate offered.  Only electric space heating is eligible for the reduced rate.

Failure to notify Linn County REC and/or incorrect wiring of the Heat Plus Meter Socket/Panel may result in a denial or delay of the Heat Plus Meter installation and the assigned Heat Plus Rate. It is strongly encouraged for members/contractors to reach out to Linn County REC Member Services and/or Metering Department with any questions or concerns during this process.

The Heat Plus Rate is currently $.06017 + EAC (Energy Adjustment Clause), effective October through May billing months. An additional $5 facility charge applies for heat plus meter.

Non-coincidental 15-minuate demand must be less than 75 kW during the months of December, January, February, June, July, August, and September to be eligible for the Heat Plus Rate.

Linn County REC will conduct its own on-site inspection of the Heat Plus Panel, all electric heating equipment, and all water heaters before our Metering Department inspects the Heat Plus Meter Socket and installs the Heat Plus Meter. These are completed once the Inspection Report is received and all HVAC and water heater installations have been completed.
