This offer is limited to $10,000 per service address. If Linn County REC is not notified prior to installation of VFD where a rebate is expected to be over $5,000, there will be a 25% reduction in rebate amount. 

Retrofit existing fans or pumps with a VFD, replacement drives are ineligible for a rebate. Rebate $35 per HP controlled by VFD. Equipment must have operating hours ≥ 1,000.  The VFD cannot be used solely as a soft starter or power factor correction device .

General Terms and Conditions
Account holder hereby certifies that
(1) The account holder is solely responsible for the accuracy of the application information.
(2) All rules of Linn County REC’s energy efficiency program have been followed.
(3) Linn County REC will not be liable for any work performed or guarantee energy/cost savings.
(4) Account is in good standing. 
(5) Any equipment installed must be new.
(6) The  Linn County REC  reserves  the  right  to  extend, modify  (including  incentive  levels)  or  terminate  this  Program  at  any  time without prior or further notice. The Member is responsible for checking with the Utility to determine whether the program has been changed or is still in effect.
(7) Linn County REC reserves the right to inspect and equipment and verifies sales transactions.
(8) Rebates shall be pro-rated based on the percent of power supplied by Linn County REC if the member has distributed generation, LCREC may hold rebate up to 12-months for verification. 
(9) Applications and required documents must be submitted within three (3) months of the install/purchase date (based on member's invoice or receipt date) and are subject to 2025 rebate eligibility if received after December 31, 2024.  By signing accepting below, you are agreeing to all terms of this rebate application.
(10) Energy use of equipment meeting Iowa Energy Code requirements, Federal standards or generally accepted industry standards may be used to determine baseline usage. Linn County REC may assign different baselines than those provided and adjust estimates accordingly.  In some cases, if equipment is retired solely for the efficiency gains (early retirement), the existing equipment can be used as a baseline.
(11) Using industry-accepted engineering algorithms or simulation models, calculate the electric savings by estimating the energy use of both the existing (baseline conditions) and proposed equipment based on the current operation of the facility. Include appropriate documentation of sources and any assumptions used in the calculations. Technical support for savings calculations is available upon request. Linn County REC may conduct a pre-and/or post-inspection, which could include data logging.
