$980.00 plus tax (no installation fee)

GenerLink ™ installation can only be completed for accounts that have active LCEC electric service. Pending orders to start service in your name do not qualify as an active service, until they have been completed.

You may re-submit this form after your LCEC electric service has officially started in your name.

Due to safety and operational precautions, LCEC does not install a GenerLink™ device when interconnected PV equipment is present. PV systems are not designed to be connected to a portable generator through a device such as GenerLink™. We recommend that our members contact a licensed electrician or PV contractor to seek an alternate method of backup generator connection with their PV equipment.

GenerLink™ is currently offered only to property owners within LCEC's service territory.

Note: If you are relocating and wish to take the GenerLink™ device with you, LCEC will remove and reinstall it for a transfer fee (transfer fee applies to re-installation, not the removal). Keep in mind, if you relocate outside of LCEC's service territory the GenerLink™ device will be removed and left in your possession; you should always check first with the utility serving your new location to verify that they will install and service the GenerLink™ device.

GenerLink™ is designed for installation only in electric meter sockets rated at 200 amps or less, without a bypass handle.  Most single-family homes are equipped with a standard 200 amp meter socket.  However, larger homes with multiple air conditioners, larger floor plans, or electric services that have been upgraded may be equipped with a 400 amp meter socket.

GenerLink™ is not compatible with meter sockets rated above 200 amps, or meter sockets that contain a bypass mechanism.

Due to the type of electric meter sockets commonly found in multi-unit buildings, GenerLink™ is not compatible. Please consult your HOA or AHJ regarding safe portable generator use, and a licensed electrician for possible backup power options.

Meter sockets located inside of meter rooms, closets, or similar enclosures, or meter sockets that are permanently obstructed by a structure are not compatible with a GenerLink™ installation.

Meter sockets located inside of meter rooms, closets, or similar enclosures, or meter sockets whose safe access is permanently obstructed are not compatible with a GenerLink™ installation.
