Below you will find the 2026 Energy $ense rebates and incentives offered by Jump River Electric Cooperative.  If you are an active electric member and you are implementing energy conservation into your home, these rebates will benefit you.  Please make sure to read Overall Incentive Rules at the end of this list for other terms and conditions.  You can email your questions to vringstad@jrec.net or call 715-532-5524.

ENERGY $ENSE REBATE / INCENTIVE INFORMATION:   

General Rebate Guidlines 
  • Only active electric members of JREC are eligible to receive a rebate and all energy efficiency measures and appliances must be installed on the JREC system to qualify for a rebate.
  • All items must be purchased and/or installed in 2026 (Jan 1 – Dec 31, 2026).
  • Rebates cannot exceed the purchase cost.
  • Members must submit the incentive application/rebate form within 3 months of purchase date for measures that do not take a significant amount of time to install (appliances, conservation, and lighting measures) and within 3 months of install date for measures that do take time to install (water heaters, HVAC, C&I, and agricultural measures).
  • Custom rebates may be available to commercial and agricultural customers that install certain types of energy saving equipment and/or incorporate energy efficiency measures. Please contact our office for details.
  • Rebates in the amount of $500 or less will be issued in the form of an energy bill credit, unless otherwise requested. Checks will be issued for amounts larger than $500.
  • Rebates are in place through December 31, 2026, or until funds are depleted. 
  • JREC reserves the right to terminate all or part of this program or make changes without notice.

APPLIANCES INCENTIVE FORM
Eligibility Requirements

◊ New appliance must be on cooperative’s lines. Recycled appliance must have been removed from service on cooperative’s lines.
◊ New and recycled appliances must be electric.
◊ Incentive not to exceed the appliance cost. Appliance recycling qualifies for the entire incentive, regardless of the recycling cost.
◊ Incentives are in place through December 31, 2026. Funds are limited so submit required documentation as soon as possible.
◊ Required documentation must be submitted within 3 months of purchase or recycle date.
◊ Additional eligibility criteria may apply. Program is subject to change or cancellation without notice. Contact cooperative for details.

AUDIT RECOMMENDED IMPROVEMENTS
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
 Home or farm being improved must be on cooperative’s lines.
◊ Energy Audit Cost incentive not to exceed 50% of the cost of energy audit, up to $200.
 Incentive not to exceed the cost of energy efficiency improvements, up to $500. Cost can include material and professional labor. The cost of the audit cannot be included.
 Energy efficiency improvements must be recommendations from an audit performed by a certified Home Performance Auditor, certified Energy Manager, or a cooperative-approved partner.
 The audit must be a comprehensive audit, including a written report.
◊ The audit report must indicate the improvement will result in electrical or delivered fossil fuels (LP, oil) reduction or efficiency.
 If another incentive is available, the audit recommended improvement will qualify for only that incentive. For example, if an auditor recommends purchasing an ENERGY STAR refrigerator, the refrigerator will qualify for the Appliance incentive, not the Audit Recommended Improvements incentive.
 Improvements must be completed within 24 months of the audit date.
 Each member account qualifies for only 1 Audit Recommended Improvement incentive every 5 years, regardless of the number of audits performed and regardless of the number of measures implemented.
 Incentives are in place through December 31, 2026. Funds are limited so submit required documentation as soon as possible.
 Required documentation must be submitted within 3 months of implementation of audit recommended improvements.

COMPRESSED AIR AUDIT

AUDIT INFORMATION









EV CHARGING STATION
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
◊  New equipment must be installed on cooperative’s lines and participate in the EV Load
    Management Program.
◊  Incentive not to exceed the equipment cost.
◊  Only costs associated with installing a secondary cooperative meter for EV charger control 
    qualify for installation costs incentive. Incentive does not cover installation costs of the
    charger itself. 
◊  Incentives are in place through December 31, 2026. Funds are limited so submit required              documentation as soon as possible.
◊  Required documentation must be submitted within 3 months of install date for Level 2 EV            charging station or smart charger. If submitted after December 31, 2026, equipment will be          considered for the 2027 incentive if offered.
◊  Additional eligibility criteria may apply. Program is subject to change or cancellation without        notice. Contact cooperative for details.
◊  Required documentation listed below must be submitted no later than 3 months after EV              charger install date.

HEATING AND COOLING INCENTIVE FORM
Eligibility Requirements

◊ New equipment must be installed on cooperative's lines.
◊ Incentive not to exceed the equipment cost.
◊ Incentives not allowed for a measure and a component of that measure. For example, if an air     source heat pump has a variable speed blower motor, the air source heat pump qualifies for an

   incentive but not the variable speed blower motor.
◊ Please use the AHRI Directory at https://www.ahridirectory.org/ to find the AHRI Certificate

   number.

◊ Incentives are in place through December 31, 2026. Funds are limited so submit required               documentation as soon as possible.

◊ Required documentation must be submitted within 3 months of install date.

NEW HOME
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
◊  To qualify for this program’s $500 incentive, ONE of the following three Program/Code requirements must be met:

1. Electric$ense® New Home Program
To qualify for the incentive under this Program/Code, the following is required:

a. A qualified rater or inspector* must verify ALL the requirements on the attached checklist have been met unless Not Applicable.
b. Submit the completed checklist and this incentive form with Section 1 and Section 2 completed.
2. Electric$ense® New Home Program with blower door test in place of Ductwork & Air Infiltration Control requirements 
To qualify for the incentive under this Program/Code, the following is required:

a. A qualified rater or inspector* must verify all requirements on the attached checklist have been met unless Not Applicable, except for the requirements in the Ductwork & Air Infiltration Control category.
b. A blower door test is required in place of the Ductwork & Air Infiltration Control requirements. Less than 3 air exchanges/hour at -50 Pascal is considered passing. Person performing the test must complete Section 3 of this incentive form.
c. Submit completed checklist and this incentive form with Section 1, Section 2, and Section 3 completed.
3. 2012 International Energy Conservation Code 
To qualify for the incentive under this Program/Code, the following is required:

a. A qualified rater or inspector* must provide documentation showing compliance with IECC 2015 using REScheck software.
b. A blower door test is required. Less than 3 air exchanges/hour at -50 Pascal is considered passing. Person performing the test must complete Section 3 of this incentive form.
c. Submit documentation showing compliance with IECC 2012 and this incentive form with Section 1 and Section 3 completed.

4. Focus On Energy® New Homes Program 
To qualify for the incentive under this Program/Code, the following are required:

a. A Wisconsin-built home must meet the energy efficiency requirements of Focus On Energy® New Homes Program. b. Submit documentation showing compliance with Focus On Energy® New Homes Program & this incentive form with Section 1 completed. *A qualified rater or inspector refers to a person who is knowledgeable in building standards, has experience in using blower door test equipment, if blower door test is performed, and is approved by your electric cooperative

◊  New home or multi-family dwelling must be on cooperative’s lines
◊  For multi-family dwellings, each structure may receive only one $500 incentive and the person      requesting the incentive must be the owner of the structure and must be a member of the              cooperative.
◊  Incentive not to exceed the equipment cost.
◊  Incentives are in place through December 31, 2026. Funds are limited so submit required              documentation as soon as possible.
◊  Required documentation must be submitted within 3 months of certification.
◊  Additional eligibility criteria may apply. Program is subject to change or cancellation without        notice. Contact cooperative for details.
◊  Required documentation listed below must be submitted no later than 3 months after EV              charger install date.

By signing this form, the rater or inspector certifies that the home has met:

1) All requirements in the attached checklist, unless Not Applicable, if member is qualifying with option 1 (Electric$ense® New Home Program) OR

2) All requirements in the attached checklist, unless Not Applicable, if member is qualifying with option 2 (Electric$ense® New Home Program less the Ductwork & Air Infiltration Control requirements). NOTE: Ductwork & Air Infiltration Control requirements can be marked Not Applicable as a blower door test is being done instead.



 BLOWER DOOR TEST VERIFICATION (Please fill out entire section if home satisfies requirements of Program/Code 2 or Program/Code 3 as defined under ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA above)
By signing this form, the person performing the blower door test certifies that the home has met the requirement of less than 3 air exchanges per hour at -50 Pascal.




WATER HEATER INCENTIVE FORM

Renewable Energy Grant
Eligibility Requirements

◊ JREC may award up to $20,000 in grants to members within the 12-month program.
◊ Member should complete a renewable energy site assessment through a certified                           professional before applying for the grant.
◊ Renewable energy grant incentive will be paid out at $200 per installed kW (AC rating) of the         solar/wind system (max. output) up to $2000 max (i.e. 4kW = $800 or 15kW = $2,000).
◊ Funds will not be paid until project completion and JREC personnel inspects the project.
◊ Member must complete a renewable energy site assessment through a certified professional       before applying for the grant.

◊ Systems must be less than 20Kw and be wind, solar, or biomass for electricity production.
◊ All paperwork, including a Certificate of Insurance and a paid copy of the renewable unit must     be received before the grant is awarded.
◊ Systems must follow all rules and regulations set forth in JREC policy.
◊ Projects must be completed and grants claimed by 12/31/26.
◊ JREC reserves the right to award no grants if the projects do not meet the above guidelines.
