HVAC Equipment Eligibility Verifications

  • Licensed Michigan mechanical contractor installation required for all measures, except as noted.
    • You cannot perform the verification yourself, even if you do the installation. You are responsible for payment to the contractor if a service call is needed.
  • Equipment must be new and in working condition. Used or refurbished equipment is not eligible for incentives.
  • Heat pump efficiency can be verified at ashp.neep.org.
  • Items must be purchased and installed between Jan. 1, 2026, and Dec. 31, 2026.
  • Rebate request must be submitted within 60 days of purchase and installation.
