Residential Level 2 Charger Installation Incentive

MTE is excited to partner with builders to help new homes become EV Ready. As part of this program, MTE will provide an incentive of $50 per new home that includes a 240-volt, 40-amp service to a NEMA 14-50R plug in the home’s garage.

This electrical wiring and equipment will allow future Electric Vehicle (EV) owners to charge at Level 2 from the convenience of their own home and will save the member hundreds of dollars by avoiding installation once the home is finished.

Installation Details







The Builder understands and agrees that MTE is providing an incentive for the installation of 240 volt plug and 40-amp wiring to support Level 2 EV charging at the above location. In return, Builder agrees to have said plugs and wiring installed at the above installation location and to allow an MTE representative to verify the installation.

MTE assumes no liability or responsibility for the installation of the plug and wiring. MTE makes no express or implied warranties or representation whatsoever concerning the fitness, suitability or condition, and MTE expressly disclaims any such warranties or representations. Any warranties or guarantees relating to the installation of the plug and wiring are limited to those provided by the Builder, the installation contractor, or by the manufacturer. It is the Builder’s responsibility to adhere to any applicable electrical codes.
