(NOTE: The words "Columbia REA Member" used below, refers to the utility customer; a business or home owner, not the contractor. Applications completed by a contractor who use their contact information in place of the Member information, will not be accepted.
A revenue class production meter is different than the utility Net-Meter and is provided and installed by your contractor. This extra meter is required if you are an approved applicant of a WA state (WSU) incentive program. Those programs are not funded currently for new applicants and may or may not be applicable in the future. We can approve your installation without the production meter, but only if you understand that if a new incentive program comes out, requiring an AC production meter, then it is something you as the homeowner would have installed at your expense. Also, this production meter shows true solar AC production, after DC conversion losses, and this data could be helpful to you.
By submitting, I confirm I am the Columbia REA Member, and I understand the above application. I understand Columbia REA will respond with an email to the email listed on my account, that I will respond to, to confirm I am the applicant. After payment of the application fee, Columbia REA will review, generally in a week or less, and may provide approval or reasons for not approving. I understand that after approval and thereafter installation, the electrical production system must not be started up, AC disconnect flipped on, (connected to grid),
until the Net-Meter has been tested, and installed by Columbia REA. Columbia REA is not responsible for any
resulting issues, including invalid meter billings if turned on otherwise.
