ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION

• Appliance/EV charger must be Installed in a residence within Cowlitz PUD’s service area, and applicant must have an active account with Cowlitz PUD.
• Eligible residences: New and existing residential buildings are eligible (single-family, manufactured home and multi-family).
• Appliance/EV charger must be purchased new. Used or refurbished items are not eligible.
• Rebate amount cannot exceed the purchase price of the item.
• Program requirements and available rebates are subject to change without prior notice.

 For Appliances:

• The appliance must be ENERGY STAR certified. Visit https://www.energystar.gov/products to view the lists of qualifying models.
• To qualify for the higher BPA Tier 2 or Tier 3 clothes dryer rebate, a heat pump (ventless) clothes dryer must be ENERGY STAR certified and listed on Bonneville Power Administration's (BPA) Clothes Dryer Qualified Products List. 
• An all-in-one washer/dryer combo unit is eligible for both a clothes washer rebate and a clothes dryer rebate if the model number appears on the ENERGY STAR clothes washer products list and the ENERGY STAR clothes dryer products list or BPA's Clothes Dryer Qualified Products List.
• Limit of one clothes washer rebate and one clothes dryer rebate per residence, every five years.

 For EV Chargers:

• EV charger must be an ENERGY STAR certified 240-volt AC Level 2 model with networking capabilities.
• EV charger must be listed on Bonneville Power Administration’s (BPA) EV charger qualified products list, which can be found on our website at: https://www.cowlitzpud.org/efficiency/electric-vehicles/.
• Limit of one EV charger rebate per residence, every ten years.

Appliance Instructions

• Attach a copy of the purchase receipt showing the brand name and model number of each qualifying item, the order/purchase date and cost.

• Submit application and receipt copy to Cowlitz PUD within 90 days of purchase.

• If appliances or an EV charger are purchased for new construction, submit the completed form and receipt within 90 days of purchase.  The rebate will be held until we are notified that the appliances and/or EV charger are installed, in-use and city or county has signed off for occupancy.
• Rebate will be applied to the applicant’s Cowlitz PUD account within eight weeks.
