URECC Community Contribution Form

One of Upshur Rural Electric Cooperative’s guiding principles is Concern for Community. While meeting the needs of our members remains our top priority, URECC is also committed to supporting the sustainable development of the communities we serve. To further this commitment, we have created two programs designed to make a positive and lasting impact.

The Upshur Rural Electric Community Foundation (URECF), partially funded by Operation Round Up, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established by the Board of Directors of Upshur Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation (URECC) that supports initiatives of nonprofit organizations recognized by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), throughout URECC’s ten-county service area. Funding comes from members who round up their electric bills or donate capital credits, with grants awarded to qualifying nonprofit organizations as funds become available.

Members Helping Members is a program created to support co-op members experiencing short-term financial hardship. Funded entirely through voluntary contributions, it provides direct bill assistance to help keep power on during challenging times. Situations such as medical emergencies, job loss, or other unexpected events may qualify for assistance.
